CHARACTERISTICS

DHM may live in or out of a common house.  This decision is the fruit of discernment and dialogue with the superior, in accordance with the mission and taking into consideration the needs and family responsibilities of each sister.

This flexibility permits us to live the discreet and attentive presence of Mary at Cana in any environment, to be a cordial presence that proclaims the Good News of the Kingdom by our life, word and evangelization.

Our life of prayer and discernment fortifies our union and our following of Christ.  In attentive listening to the Spirit we respond according to the signs of the times.

We profess vows of chastity, poverty and obedience.  The particular characteristics of our charism calls us to selfless charity in service and obedience, expressions of availability for mission as a manifestation of God's will.
